1. General information
This Privacy Policy sets out the rules concerning data in connection with the use of the SilentStar Breath mobile application.
SilentStar Breath has been designed in accordance with the principle of data minimisation. Using the basic functions of the app does not require creating a SilentStar account or providing SilentStar Group with information such as your first name, surname, email address or telephone number.
Training data used by the Program is generally stored and processed locally on the user’s device.
2. Data Controller
The controller of personal data that may be processed by SilentStar Group in connection with the use of the app is:

3. Training data stored on the device
The app may store locally, among other things:
- results of measurements performed in the app,
- history of completed training sessions,
- the current Cycle and Program progress,
- current training levels and parameters,
- feedback provided after training sessions,
- app settings,
- sound and voice guidance settings,
- reminder settings,
- information required to maintain continuity of the Program.
This data is used to operate the app, display history and progress, and adjust subsequent stages of the Program.
Training data is not transmitted to SilentStar Group and is not stored on SilentStar Group servers.
It may indirectly reflect information related to the user’s current breathing capabilities; however, in the current version of the app it remains on the user’s device.
4. How training data is used
Data stored locally may be used by the app to:
- determine the Program starting point,
- adjust training parameters,
- display history,
- calculate progress,
- determine subsequent stages of the Program,
- maintain continuity of the Program after the app is restarted.
Adjustments are made automatically on the user’s device according to the rules of the Program.
This is not advertising profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning the user.
5. User account
SilentStar Breath does not require a SilentStar account.
To use the app, we do not require users to provide:
- first name and surname,
- email address,
- telephone number,
- home address,
- password.
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are, however, associated with the user’s Apple or Google account in accordance with the rules of those platforms.
SilentStar Group does not receive the user’s password or other login credentials for their Apple or Google account.
6. Payments, trial period and subscriptions
Paid features of SilentStar Breath may be made available through subscriptions handled by:
- Apple App Store on Apple devices,
- Google Play on Android devices.
Payment is processed by the operator of the relevant store.
SilentStar Group does not receive payment card numbers, card details or login credentials for Apple or Google accounts.
The app and the store operator may process information necessary to confirm entitlement to paid features, such as subscription status, the type of plan purchased, transaction status or the access period.
Apple and Google process purchase-related data in accordance with their own rules and privacy policies.
7. Information provided by the App Store and Google Play
Store operators may provide SilentStar Group with information relating to the operation and sale of the app, including:
- number of downloads,
- information about purchases and subscriptions,
- information about renewals and cancellations,
- sales and financial data,
- aggregated statistics concerning use of the app’s store page,
- diagnostic information provided by the platform.
The scope of this data depends on the rules of Apple and Google.
This does not mean that SilentStar Breath sends training history, measurement results or other local Program data to SilentStar Group.
8. Advertising, analytics and user tracking
In its current version, SilentStar Breath:
- does not display advertisements,
- does not use advertising identifiers to profile users,
- does not create advertising profiles of users,
- does not sell user data,
- does not use external analytics systems to track user behaviour within the app,
- does not use external advertising or tracking SDKs.
The app also does not use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
Statistical or diagnostic information available directly through App Store Connect or Google Play Console may be provided to the developer by the operators of those platforms in accordance with their own rules.
9. Reminders and notifications
The user may voluntarily enable training reminders.
The app requests the relevant system permission only when it is required for this feature to operate.
The selected reminder time and Program schedule are used by the app to schedule local notifications.
SilentStar Group does not use notifications to track users or create advertising profiles.
The user may disable reminders at any time in the app or in the device settings.
10. Contact and technical support
If a user contacts us at kontakt@silentstar.pl, we may receive information contained in the message, in particular:
- email address,
- message content,
- information about the issue voluntarily provided by the user,
- attachments or screenshots sent by the user.
We use this data only to respond to the message, resolve the reported problem, handle a complaint or provide support.
The legal basis for processing may include:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or provision of a service,
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, namely SilentStar Group’s legitimate interest in providing user support, handling requests and ensuring proper operation of the app,
- Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where retention of certain information is required by law.
Please do not send medical information or other particularly sensitive data by email unless it is necessary to resolve the reported issue.
11. Data recipients
Data provided directly to SilentStar Group may be processed by entities providing technical services to us, in particular:
- email service providers,
- hosting providers,
- IT infrastructure providers,
- Apple or Google in connection with app distribution, purchases and subscriptions,
- entities to which data must be disclosed under applicable law.
These entities receive data only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant services or fulfil a legal obligation.
12. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Certain technology service providers, in particular Apple or Google, may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area.
In such cases, processing and any transfer of data are carried out in accordance with applicable law and the safeguards used by the relevant provider, including, where applicable, an adequacy decision of the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Data retention period
Training data
Program data stored locally remains on the device until:
- it is deleted by the user,
- the user resets progress,
- the app or its data is removed from the device.
SilentStar Group does not hold a copy of this data on its own servers.
Contact and support data
We may retain correspondence with the user for the time necessary to handle the request and subsequently for the period required to protect against potential claims or comply with legal obligations.
Purchase data
Information concerning transactions or settlements may be retained in accordance with the requirements of the store operator and for periods resulting from tax, accounting or other applicable laws.
14. Data deletion
The user may delete Program progress directly in the app.
Resetting progress removes the Program’s locally stored training data but does not cancel an active subscription.
Removing the app from the device results in deletion of the data stored locally by the app on that device.
Subscriptions are cancelled separately through the user’s App Store or Google Play account settings.
For data provided to SilentStar Group, for example when contacting technical support, a data-related request may be sent to:
kontakt@silentstar.pl
15. User rights
If SilentStar Group processes a user’s personal data, the user may, depending on the legal basis and nature of the processing, have the right to:
- receive information about data processing,
- access their data,
- rectify their data,
- erase their data,
- restrict processing,
- data portability,
- object to processing,
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights arise in particular from Articles 15–21 GDPR.
With respect to data stored exclusively locally, SilentStar Group has no technical ability to read or provide that data to the user because it is not transmitted to our servers.
The user manages this data directly on their device.
16. Right to lodge a complaint
The user has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority competent for personal data protection matters.
In Poland, this authority is:
President of the Personal Data Protection Office
Information on lodging complaints is available at uodo.gov.pl.
17. Data security
SilentStar Group follows the principle of data minimisation and designs SilentStar Breath so that, to the greatest extent possible, data required for operation of the Program remains locally on the device.
The security of locally stored data also depends on the security measures used on the user’s device, such as a lock code, Face ID, Touch ID or appropriate Android security features.
We do not recommend sharing an unlocked device with unauthorised persons.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated in particular in the event of:
- new app features being added,
- changes to the way data is processed,
- new external services being added,
- changes in applicable law,
- changes to App Store or Google Play requirements.
The current version of the Policy will be available at the public address indicated in the app and on the SilentStar website.
If a change materially affects how user data is processed, appropriate information will be provided in the manner required by law.
